DANCE AND MOVEMENT 9/11 AND 12/15 YEARS OLD

We invite you to our dance and movement workshops, where we explore both creative movement and a more technical approach to dance. Throughout the workshops, we encourage children to add shape, quality, and precision to their movement, while also emphasizing the development of their own identity and the creation of their personal dance story.

In our weekly program, participants have the opportunity to create once a week and to explore different dance techniques once a week. Through classical ballet, we develop balance, discipline, and elegance, while through modern and contemporary dance techniques we work on fluidity, floor work, and personal expression.

We invite all young dancers to join us on this journey of dance exploration, where we combine technique and creativity and support the development of a holistic dance expression. Each child will have the opportunity to express themselves through movement and develop their own dance language. Dance is a space where one can express both discipline and the freedom of personal expression.

Dance is a journey that combines technique, expression, and feeling. We invite you to discover your dance potential, surrender to movement, and create your own unique dance story.

WHY IS BALLET TEHNIQUE IMPORTANT?

Ballet technique is important in dance for several reasons:

  1. Body alignment: Ballet technique teaches correct body alignment, helping maintain good posture and prevent injuries.
  2. Strength and flexibility: It includes exercises that build muscle strength and increase flexibility, which are essential for performing demanding dance movements.
  3. Coordination: Ballet consists of complex movements and combinations that require strong body coordination.
  4. Aesthetics: Ballet technique includes elements such as port de bras (arm movement) and expressive facial work, contributing to the overall aesthetic quality of dance.
  5. Discipline: Ballet is a highly structured dance style that requires consistent practice and perseverance to achieve technical precision.

For this reason, knowledge of ballet technique is beneficial in other dance styles as well, as it improves technique, strength, and elegance in movement.
